Kazan State Medical University(KSMU)

Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) is the third oldest Medical University in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. It is recognized by the WHO, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools AVICENNA Directory for Medicine and recognized by ECFMG (USA). Recognized by leading medical councils viz. AMC, GMC, MCI etc.

The KSMU is located at Kazan city which is a capital and largest city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is most important cultural center of the Tatar culture. With a population of about 1.2m, it is located about 800 Km east of Moscow. Kazan is a place where the East meets west. People of different nationalities live in Kazan. Major religions in Kazan are Sunni Islam and Eastern Orthodoxy. You can hear speech of more than 100 different nationalities in Kazan. The official languages are Tatar and Russian. Kazan is a significant educational and cultural center of Russia. Kazan has traditionally been a university city and only Moscow and Saint Petersburg have more students. With 44 institutes of higher education, around 25 colleges including colleges for special training , 178 schools and over 50 schools for learning music, choreography, fine arts

With 200 years of experience in medical training, KSMU is justifiably an international University. Around 700 students from more than 57 countries around the world study here and half of them study in English. Moreover, there are large group of students from neighboring and remote regions of Russia. It has nine faculties and 65 departments and staff of more than 1500 people.

Kazan State Medical University Fee structure

Tuition fees : Preparatory faculty –language and other subjects -one year courses – 143000 Rubles–for those who wish to study in Russian language and or who failed to qualify entry exams. For entry exams, please download rehearsal papers attached to this page.

MBBS courses –6 years  (English)-App: 440000 Rubles/year , dentistry courses for 5 years(English)- 460,000 -Rubles/year and pediatric courses for 6 years (in English or Bilingual)-300,000Rub/year-

Pharmacy-5 years courses (in English or Bilingual)- -260,000 Rub/year, Medical biochemistry -6 years (bilingual) 225,000 Rub/year and previntive medicine 6 years courses- 231,000 Rub /year.

Residency 2 years 275,000 Rub/year.

How to get study visa:

1. 1. After you received the visa invitation, stamp your visa in the Embassy (Consulate) of Russian Federation. More information on visa and registration.
   2. Fill up Visa Application Form
   3. International Passport (Traveling Document valid not less than two year).
   4. Original Invitation Letter from the University which we shall forward to you and
   5. Original School Certificates ( O level/ SSCE/ HSSC , Bachelor or Master Degree if available), (should be legalized)
   6. General Health- Medical Certificate issued at least two months prior the entrance in to Russia (should be legalized)
   7. HIV- AIDS test issued at least two months prior to the entrance (should be legalized)
   8. 2 Pictures 3.5 x 4.5 cm
   9. To and Fro Air ticket valid for one year.

P.S.: In some countries Embassy of Russian Federation require legalization of documents from specific departments.

MBBS Admission Procedure 2020

ELIGIBILITY

You have successfully completed higher secondary school. You have successfully completed tertiary education in case applying for Post-Graduate Education.

Minimum requirement is an average of 65% marks in higher secondary school (each in chemistry, biology, and English language). A proof of English  language training

You need forward to us:

• . Scanned copy of marks (grades) of completion of higher secondary education / tertiary education (should be translated into Russian language)
• . Scanned copy of your Passport (should be translated into Russian language)
• . Results of NEET (only for candidates from India),
• . Also   Guarantee for fulfillment of payment conditions.

You may need to fill up an application  issued by University – we shall forward it to you

CONFIRMED ADMISSION  

After fulfilling all the conditions and upon acceptance by us and by the University, you will be provided with a provisional admission letter (in electronic format) upon request. After that, we arrange visa invitation for you and the same will be forwarded by prepaid order of express courier. If you are applying through any local Agency, be sure it is serious and documents are well maintained and all procedure are based on transparency and within local laws.

Residency Courses:  

For foreigners: subject to approvals of basic diplomas by Russian Ministry of Education and Science (equivalent to Russian standard or more)

1^st year local language and specialized subjects and 2 years Residency: Tuition Fee on request

 Ph.D. Program:

For foreigners: subject to approvals of basic diplomas by Russian Ministry of Education and Science (equivalent to Russian standard or more)

1st year local language and specialized subjects and 3 years specialized courses -Tuition fee on request

Other details

Semester:-There are 2 Semesters in the academic year:

Autumn Semester — From September to January, Spring Semester — From February to June.

Examinations:-  There are examinations at the end of both semesters. The dates of examinations (Session Period) are determined by the Rector, but the examination dates for individual disciplines within the session period are decided by students and faculty members by mutual agreement. Student’s performance during the Examinations is graded as: «Satisfactory»; «Good»; «Excellent» or «Unsatisfactory». In order to appear for the exam, a Student must have passed all the Credit-Tests, and must have fulfilled the 100 % attendance

Vacations:-  All students have their vacations twice a year. Summer vacations: from July 1 to August 31.Winter vacations: from January 15 to February 7.
