PAVLOVA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Pavlova First Saint- Petersburg State Medical University was established in September, 1897 and introduced as the Medical Institute for Women in Russia. The University has adapted a unique teaching methodology based on combination of the best Russian Medical Educational Traditions and the methods of Western Education System. The name St. Petersburg State Pavlov Medical University was given by the Government of the Russian Federation in the year 1994.
This University is now recognized as a great center for training specialists all over the world. Today The University Teaching Hospital includes more than 100 departments, the Consultative and diagnostic center, diagnostic laboratory services, the Maternity Home and the Blood Transfusion Department.
The University staff includes skilled professionals whose experience and qualification is recognized both in Russia and abroad. Among them are 6 academicians and 7 corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, more than 600 professors and MD/PhD’s and more.

For foreign citizens , having graduated the University Pre-entrance Program:
Documents application – from June 1, July 10, every year
Entrance examinations period – from June 17, 2019 till July 26, 2019
Entrance examinations for foreign citizens are held according to the entrance examinations time-table published on the University Web site and the Information Board. The examination groups are formed considering the amount of admissions, having applied the documents to the University Admissions Board.
The competitive list (rating) of foreign citizens (for all categories) is published after the entrance examinations on 27the of July each year

The following are the visa requirements to get study visa of Russian Federation.
- Visa invitation will be arranged by Studymedicine -The same will be needed to obtain Russian visa from the Embassy (Consulate) of Russian Federation. More information on visa and registration on request.

- Original Invitation Letter from the University – shall be arranged by Studymedicine and forwarded to you and
- Original School Certificates ( O level/ SSCE/ HSSC , Bachelor or Master Degree if available), (should be legalized)
- General Health- Medical Certificate issued at least two months prior the entrance in to Russia (should be legalized)
- HIV- AIDS test issued at least two months prior to the entrance (should be legalized)
- 6 Pictures 3.5 x 4.5 cm
- To and Fro Air ticket valid for one year.
P.S.: In some countries Embassy of Russian Federation requires legalization of documents from specific departments.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE and ELIGIBILITY
You have successfully completed higher secondary school. You have successfully completed tertiary education in case applying for Post-Graduate Education. Minimum requirement is an average of 65% marks in higher secondary school (each in chemistry, biology, and English language). A proof of English language training
You need forward to us:

You may need to fill up an application issued by University – we shall forward it to you
After fulfilling all the conditions and upon acceptance by us and by the University, you will be provided with a provisional admission letter (in electronic format) upon request. After that, we arrange visa invitation for you and the same will be forwarded by prepaid order of express courier. If you are applying through any local Agency, be sure it is serious and documents are well maintained and all procedure are based on transparency and within local laws.
Residency for all specialties:
For foreigners: subject to approvals of basic diplomas by Russian Ministry of Education and Science (equivalent to Russian standard or more)-1st year local language and specialized subjects and 2 years Residency: Tuition Fee on request

Entrance Examination (after approval)

Examinations:- There are examinations at the end of both semesters. The dates of examinations (Session Period) are determined by the Rector, but the examination dates for individual disciplines within the session period are decided by students and faculty members by mutual agreement. Student’s performance during the Examinations is graded as: «Satisfactory»; «Good»; «Excellent» or «Unsatisfactory». In order to appear for the exam, a Student must have passed all the Credit-Tests, and must have fulfilled the 100 % attendance
Vacations:- All students have their vacations twice a year. Summer vacations: from July 1 to August 31.Winter vacations: from January 15 to February 7.
